I just read a quotation by Alan Watts which amused me because it reminded me of you, Eric, and me, too….. “If you believe in God, I don’t. If you don’t, I do.” It’s just the way some brains work, I guess. |

Yeah, sometimes I feel like I am trying to make a fashion statement with ambivalence. Actually though, I haven’t been thinking too much about such matters at all lately. If fact, I’ve been doing a lot of wheel-spinning and time-wasting though I am making progress. And in the back of my thoughts, I’ve been trying to keep a running dialogue with God. But yeah, I spoke about wheel-spinning: that has to do with my ineptitude and the time-wasting some of the same and perhaps to an even greater degree because of my perfectionist tendencies. But in the process, I have also been helping smooth the road out for others as well. I won’t say that these other posts reflect “the other Eric,” because “we’re” all essentially one.  What I will say is that they reflect another side of Eric: the side that most often comes out when he puts down the books. Don’t know what I mean? If somebody’d just do that for me—or if more somebodies would do that, we’d all have a much easier go of things! (But the end results are really cool: this forum is one of those results; check out http://www.lakehomesbyet.com/family and click on any of the photos for another—I merely set it up and she adds pictures and comments as she likes.) Someday, perhaps, I’ll learn that “other” language of programming, or should I say “groups of languages”: JavaScript, PHP, and Perl to add to my relative competence in basic CSS and HTML. But that’s a whole ‘nuther side of Eric.
