Well, certainly thank you both for your kind words. It is a privilege to used of God in whatever humble way and a far higher compliment by far to say, "Your words inspired me to draw closer to God," than to simply say, "You write well," or some other such sentiment. Of course, I am flattered by the latter, but the former leaves a more lasting sense of satisfaction by far. For a self-assessment I had to write regarding my own writing for a formal writing course this semester, I penned the following (in fact, this is the concluding paragraph):

To me, my greatest criticism of my [own] writing invariably involves content more than style, because I otherwise feel an ease and comfort when working with words. I do not so much wish to write well: I wish rather to make a lasting difference for God in the world. As C. S. Lewis suggests, “Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you get neither.”

God bless,
Eric
