Thank you all very much—Sara, Ridinghood, and Karen—for sharing your thoughts. Half a dozen times or more I started to reply because my own thoughts were highly engaged by what you said here and half a dozen times I felt compelled to check my thoughts and hold my peace. The reason, I have since concluded, is that this discussion deserves a much more public response and while Coconuts and Caterpillars: Learning to Doubt Doubt does more than address the thoughts posed on this thread, it certainly does that as well. In fact, you may be pleased to learn that this discussion thread had a great deal to do with its initial conception/inception. So again, thanks for contributing. :) Your feedback not only helps to nourish me but also enables me to better focus my own thoughts. Throughout the years I've been writing Le Penseur Réfléchit, many of the best issues have been the direct result of reader feedback and many more have been indirectly influenced by the same. I really want you all to know how much I appreciate your participation and sharing.
