Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and for your kind words.
I do agree entirely with you that I don't care in what form I find Him when I die, although I do believe that we retain consciousness and individuality and are able to interact not only with Him but with one another. Of this I am certain.
What's more, I don't care what form my body takes when I die; I know it will be like His and will be suitable for interaction with Him and one another.
There are many, many things that I doubt and question from time to time, but I do believe in the literal resurrection and I do believe that while I have not seen or touched the risen Christ, I have definitely had contact and interaction with Him.
But what does the literal resurrection really mean, and how much does it matter? Certainly some people see it as having the same kind of body we do here; I don't agree quite with that.
Of course, the Bible does talk about Jesus' appearances after resurrection, with allusions to touching, feeling, cooking, eating. But Paul said that there is a difference between that which is sown in corruption, ie., our earthly bodies, and that which rises, different in glory as the sun, moon, and stars differ from one another in glory. It has to be better, as God is better than the world we know.
But when it comes right down to it, the most important thing is encountering Him Whom we love, Who loves us with a love stronger than death and better than life. And I think the really good news is that we can encounter Him even here on a very real and interactive level, although different people do encounter Him differently because people are different. Some of us are more intellectual and some more mystical. I just happen to be the latter, so that's how He reaches me.
