Proof is in the Pudding

I loved the topic of this newsletter because I, too, have been questioning some of my own assumptions about my faith and arrived at conclusions very similar to Eric's.
There is quite a difference between historical Christianity and spiritual Christianity. Whether Jesus was the Son Of God and rose from the dead can be debated. The fact that something extremely powerful and transformative happened in the hearts and minds of His disciples after he was crucified and was "Resurrected" (in whichever sense you prefer) can not be disputed.
Sometimes, knowledge (or convictions?)can be an obstacle to understanding, like a block of ice that obstructs water from flowing. For things to be revealed, we often have to abandon our views about them. This is frightening and uncomfortable, but we have to trust that seeking Truth is the very same thing as seeking God.
