Living Water

Yes, I was "reeling" by the end of the newsletter because my finite mind has a hard time grasping it. But I think there is a level of understanding that I had already reached concerning this subject. I think I already understood the implications of "eternal life" (although not as extensively and literally). It never seemed a question to me as to whether or not eternal life meant "duration" as opposed to "quality". I always associated eternal life with heaven, joy, love and being with Jesus, and of course eternal death with Hell, lonliness, and eternity(implying a desire for it to end). So I think there are levels of understanding that we are able to reach even if we don't delve deeply or extensively (not that I condone ignorance. I thoroughly enjoyed and will always enjoy digging deeper). I am mostly trying to express my gratitude of being able to understand this concept and seeing it put into words as you have put it. This newsletter was like confirmation to me.
Though, I will admit, "Living water" was not as clear to me and it was fascinating to find that Hebrews did not differentiate between sacred and ordinary. It is interesting to know that because it gives me a clearer picture of the way God meant for us to live. We are to value life as sacred.
On a side note, this is my first time on this section of the website and I happened upon the sketch of you (Eric) when you were seventeen. Out of curiosity, how old are you now?
Anyway, God has been using your writing to change my life. It was no accident we happened to cross paths (electronically). I thank God for people like you. There is something about seeking truth that is inexpressibly beautiful. Being able to communicate truth, well, that is even better. Your writing blesses me.
Never stop giving Him the glory.

PS: how do you have time to do all this?!
