Dear Karen,
What you wrote was so very beautiful. Thank you very much. Your words in fact, are reminiscent of those of Jean, the woman who recommended the Brother Lawrence book to me. I was earnestly seeking after that personal relationship that seems so very elusive when what we are used to dealing with are flesh and blood relationships. My heart was earnest to know Him and for me it was not so much that sin stood in the way, but rather my own ignorance. It was then that Jean recommended the book and the advice of the very humble Brother Lawrence was a helpful beginning to understanding. Note that I also heavily questioned every Christian I knew many times. Their patience in dealing with my child-like curiosity was greatly appreciated.
