1. A religionless world (a mini-version of which is in my morally corrupted and chaotic homeland China) would not fare any better than other purported dark side in Christian history.
2. It is questionable whether the historical tragedies supposedly caused by religion is really due to religion itself. A more apt description would be political forces and human crookedness fulfilling their ambitious agendas in the name of religion. So these episodes do not thereby nullify the truth of the Christian faith. Rather, it reinforces the idea that it is the sinful human heart that needs cleansing through redemption.
3. Let's not forget the contributions of Christianity when its faith is expressed properly and biblically. All Chinese Christians will never forget the love and effort that missionary Hudson Taylor had given China, along with numerous other unacknowledged servants of God.
