Perry,

You apparently fall well within the scope of Anger Management and the Koran, the very newsletter that prompted your response. Unless you dismiss all religious claims as being invalid, you apparently fall into our third category:

Of course, some might dismiss both faiths [in your case, three faiths: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam] and suggest that there are many paths to God, but dogma and doctrine are the great anathema. Yet in dismissing creedal proclamations, such a person is suggesting that the two faiths we have been considering at least are false, which still leads back to the third stance that some faiths are wrong, some are right, and we would do well to consider for ourselves which is which.

So my question then becomes this one. You have made the bald assertion (pasted directly from your post): "Would not the world be a better and safer place if religian, the bible, the koran and the torah were abolished." You have not, however, offered any evidence or normative standard to back up your allegation. On what basis do you make this claim? In what way do you see the world being better and safer without the influence of these three faiths and their books? Why? What alternatives, if any, would you propose? Presumably there is some reason that you make such a statement; I would be most curious to hear what it is.

Until then...

God bless,
Eric
