Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and providing a thorough response.
Why would do suppose the church regards the study of metaphysics and such practices as visualization to be evil?
I am curious about this topic simply because I find it fascinating how the church has pushed against the advancement of science (or, in this case, quantum physics). They do make some good arguments concerning the occult as being evil (and I agree to a certain extent), but they also said scientists who claimed the earth was spherical were heretics.
It is hard for me to say whether or not these activities are benign in nature. As a creative person, I often picture things in my "minds eye" in order to draw them or express them musically. Indeed, I am manifesting my imagination into reality. The church doesn't frown upon this at all.
Yet if I say I would like to own a new car, so I am visualizing it in my mind and hoping to manifest it, suddenly I am dabbling in the forbidden arts and flirting the the devil. This makes no sense to me. After all, many a great invention were seen in the mind of the inventor before it was manifested in real life through labor and inspiration.
If we manifest into reality that which first existed in our mind, are we really calling upon spiritual agents to do our bidding? Or is this simply quantum phenomena at work? Hmmm...
