You need not be concerned about starting from "square one" and rethinking your beliefs. Count yourself among good company, including Francis Schaeffer who spent a long period of time walking and rethinking what he believed. He started with his original agnosticism and in the end found himself believing as he had and once more able to write poetry praising his God. Something that he had not been able to do for a long time. When you find yourself doubting your God, if you look deeply enough, you will find that it is you yourself that you doubt. Remember, as you study for your philosophy courses that you are studying the reasoning of man. It is an attempt, when all is said and done, to answer all of life's deepest question with no provision for God. And certainly not a personal God who "while we yet sinners, loved us and gave Himself for us."
