Jousting by Moonlight

Darkness is symbolic of evil. But moonlight is not darkness is it? It is by definition light, a particularly beautiful form of light. I remember a trip to Yosemite, the national park in CA. They had a tour by moonlight and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. How wonderful that beautiful place was when bathed in moonglow! I guess it helped that Yosemite is one of my favorite natural wonders of the world.
As I read it I thought more about moonlight. The moon really has no light, it only reflects the light of the sun. It is a metaphor for Christians. We have no light of our own but we can reflect the glow of our Father's glory in a small way from time to time. When people say to me: "Jean you glow!" I know that they are really saying that the Father glows. Without Him I would be dull indeed and without light or even life yet with Him I can shine so that others can see His glory and know Him. That is a miracle of sorts! That He can take a poor, lifeless, hopeless being like us humans and make of us a shining, glorious being is miraculous!
