Why Doesn't He Give Himself to God?

Eric,

You know how I have always been concise in my communication with you? Well, here goes...

If I told you your story was compelling, I would be grossly understating it. Don't ask me why this has happened... We are somehow pulled together by God, I think. Take a look at these two pages of my website: The River Runs Down the Way and The Path to Joy.

This song was written over a month ago, and the CD cover has been in development for the last week, and was done before your message. Yes, it is Throwncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, AR near the Missouri border! No, I knew nothing of your story before today.

Tell me, Eric. What do you make of this? This song is THE major theme of the CD, the cornerstone song. I was worried that it was too artsy, but look at this... It is about being led down the path by an angel to God's destination and the river (of life).

This was written because God told me this through another man's story from 20 years ago and Thomas Merton's story of going to the monastery. Both happened along the Allegheny, River, one involved a cliff, one involved an angel, the other the Chapel of Our Lady of the Angels! The Blessed Mother, Mary, who always points to Jesus...

The song was about my life choices now as I wait to step out along the path once more with God's messenger, leaving behind the security of a local Church music ministry and going out to a traveling one...

God must love you an awful lot, Eric, to make it this obvious that He is with you and calling you?

Oh, and the "dark night of the soul" . I take it you have read St. John of the Cross, one of my favorite saints. That is surely where you got this idea from ? :-)

Peace in Christ.... Pick up your faith.. It has never left you,
