Hello everyone,
I first heard of Kathleen Norris when I was given a copy of The Cloister Walk. As the cover review from The Boston Globe suggests: “This is a strange and beautiful book. Part memoir, part meditation, it is a remarkable piece of writing. If read with humility and attention, Kathleen Norris’s book becomes lectio divina, or holy reading.” This could easily be just another blurb on just another book, but in this case, the book is indeed lectio divina, and I heartily endorse it, boldly stamping it with my official stamp of approval. In the meanwhile, here is a brief biography of Norris. :)
God bless,
Eric
“What is a poet? A poet is an unhappy being whose heart is torn by secret sufferings, but whose lips are so strangely formed that when the sighs and the cries escape them, they sound like beautiful music.”
—Søren Kierkegaard (1813–1855), Danish philosopher. EitherOr.
